Trabzonspor?

They once filled 7 ends at Hillsborough and Bramall Lane on the same day @Rip Van Fish
"The most important issue in the establishment of Trabzonspor was the colors of the club. Although a number of elaborate theories have been put forward as to why claret and blue was adopted, it transpires the club chose the colors in simple tribute to the famous and historic English club Aston Villa.[7]"

That went well for yow dai it?

Not really. Villa are nowhere near size of our club. Before anyone mentions European cups, Nottingham Forest won it and they are not on par with us either.

On what basis?

Absolute bollocks whatever you say.

Support and trophies. Next question?

You can't keep claiming to be a big club on trophies won over a century a go.

Sunderland have bigger attendances but Villa is the biggest club in England's second city and they're like a shit Man Utd. They pull in support from all around the West Midlands, for every Sunderland supporter in England there's probably three Villa supporters.

They might be shit but they could argue that they're the 7th biggest club in England when all things are performing to the mean.

As a matter of interest, which one of these trophies do you think you've won more times than Villa?

league cup
FA cup
League
European cup
European super cup.

Oh yes-You get a few thousand more fans from a 200 mile catchment area. All hail the saving grace.

Top flight champions. Look up our history. Our support is not even comparable.

Bullshit. We still averaging 40,000+ bottom of league with 2 points. You's could only dream of support like that.
