Adli Aouchiche

And today is exactly why, for months, I've been banging the drum that Aouchiche should be getting more game time.

He's played over 70 games in Ligue 1, a much better level than the Championship, and has shown enough in his brief glimpses to show that he can coast it at this level.

Crazy how he hasn't been given more consistent minutes rather than a start here and there, 10 minutes off the bench and then disappearing for weeks on end.

It's absolutely pointless continuing to do the above and expecting him to push on. He needs and deserves proper game time and is more than ready and capable for it.
Agree completely

Major issue is probably that he plays best as a 10 and that's also where the hierarchy see Jobe playing

Clearly a good player and will improve as he adapts to the physical side of English football.

Not sure he is a proper 10, but i wouldn't mind seeing him as 1 of a midfield 3 with 3 up front

Well if Jobe is going to be sold on, then it would be better to play him as a striker for the remainder of the season - we don't have any other option in that position - as we all know.

Whilst most of the team played well today his contribution and smart positioning really helped us build some dangerous attacks and opened up the pitch for midfield to support and also for jobe/ ba and rigg to receive the ball in good areas.

I think we've massively under utilised him all season and a player of his clear ability (could see it early in the season in flashes) needs a bit faith put in him to eventually hit a rhythm and deliver. Should never of took this long to make him a 1st teamer imo.

Form is temporary, class is permanent

Yeah, play him up top the rest of the season and he should break into double figures for goals. Will look great for interested parties that an 18 year old called Bellingham has notched that many goals and should bump his price up.

Weird the stick Aouchiche got for that. It was barely a foul. Soft and borderline, but not a howler from young Adil
He didn’t need to challenge and missed a sitter then did fall apart a bit but the defending for the cross was worthy of more criticism and it happened just when we were experiencing perfect storm circumstances for criticism of club/players/management.
He looks one of the most naturally talented players at the club. Hopefully he’ll show that in the run in and hit the ground running next season.
