banged my bastard knee pulling the bin up the steps this morning. Cut it and it is bloody sore, hope the hell it isnt anything serious.
Ouch.
I felt some knee pain on the treadmill yesterday (sharp kind of pain) which I hadn't felt before so immediately stopped and went on the crosstrainer for 40 minutes instead without any further issues.
I was doing weights today and although my knee had been fine I decided not to risk causing further problems by squatting.. then like an absolute mug I grabbed some dumbbells and started doing sets of lunges. Not one of my finer moments, knee pain is back with a vengeance.
Hoping I've just knocked it over the weekend or something and it'll be back to normal in a few days, but can't believe I was so daft when I'd initially decided not to do anything to risk aggravating it.
Excellent night through the Neptune relay at sedgefield park. Our little club had two 4 man teams in. Each member had to run a 1.5 mile leg. Strange distance when you are not use to running it. I set off like a train and can remember looking at my watch half way round and thinking I have shot my bolt here. Great turnout, must have been 30+ teams in
there were 120 teams and it was just over 1.6m. apart from that a really good race report cheers what time did you do?
That many eh
I went round in just over 11 minutes. The plan for our little club was to get a A,B and C team with me being in the B. I reckon our A would have done well in the non affiliated competition as we have some good runners in it. Unfortunately due to drop outs we only manged two teams and myself along with another got bumped up to the 'A' team and as you can see by my time I am not really to good a runner for that. The lad on the first leg got us off to a good start but when I went out 2nd eveyone was streaming past me for the first half a mile. Cracking event mind, our 'A' team finished 53rd with our 'B' team 86th. Were you running like mate?
Ow archie lad... you need a word with your mate Dan, must have been a pacemaker/helper for the beginners group last night, sounded like he was trying to impress all the women
impress them by doing what - couldnt have been owt to do with running.
He is really helpful, good looking, charming, does anything for anyone.
actually was told he was really helpful, infact cant praise the club enough and those who give up their time to help the beginners - they did 7mile last night, only started 4 week ago
good luck mate, hopefully you're back for the summerI've been told to have 8 weeks off to let my hamstrings recover. Back at the gym thankfully though otherwise I would be climbing the walls wanting to do some form of exercise. Plenty of stretching and mobility work to do.
