Far from the finished article but the lad makes things happen, his energy levels are vital for us too. The haters will soon see what he brings now that he is out for a lengthy spell.

Na. Second half, it would have either made it 3-0 or 3-1 I can't quite remember. He somehow ended up on the floor in front of the ball when it seemed like all he had to do was run onto it and smash it in. Defoe tried to pick up the pieces and round the defender but they got away with it. In hindsight Defoe probably should have been more selfish when he brought the ball out of the air. It was a cracking bit of football from him anyway.

I say this on almost every Watmore thread, he is a limited footballer who can get things wrong as he makes wrong decisions and can have a poor first touch but he is doing well for us in the main. He is essential to how we are playing at the moment and his injury is a big blow

Three lads behind me slagged him off all afternoon. Their obsession with him pissed me off. Lad works his nut off and makes things happen through his running power and work rate. That should not be underestimated.
