Never seen him play (or at least don't remember him if I have) but for someone who's 25 he has a lot of games under his belt (320 odd) and seems rarely injured, 6'1" is a decent height for a FB (not so much for a CB) anyone know if he's got any pace?

A cursory Google says he's primarily a CB but is also effective at RB and.....Sheffield Wednesday have slapped a £10m price tag on him to fend off interest from Burnley and Stoke. They also put him on a new four year contract.

£10m for a player yet to kick a ball in the PL.....the summer madness continues apace.

I'll let you tell Lamine Kone that he isn't big enough for CB mate....;)

Moyes has form for signing championship defenders and doing well with them, Jagielka, Baines and Lescott all spring to mind, although admittedly all had at least played in the premier league......I think
I think it's a good strategy for signing defenders you already know they are going to be tough enough and up for a battle

Fair enough price in the current climate. Sheff Wed are backed with a bit of a money atm so there will be absolutely no need for them to sell. Maybe if he was from a different Championship side the value would have been lower.
