Druggie Wankers

Bloke was shot and killed at the weekend trying to stop an armed robbery, seems he was after drug money. Found out today that the victim was my mate Larry. His wife was with him at the time, they were playing pool. f***ing gutted, hope the wanker is caught and strung up by the balls. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfo...ains-quarters-fatal-shooting-update-1.3256677
Sounds like a good guy in the wrong place trying to do the right thing. Really sad news when this happens to a decent person, thoughts go out to wife as well at this time. Druggies are despicable, untrustworthy wankers. They usually blame everyone for their addiction rather than themselves and get services and help on a plate by society but contribute next to nothing back.

I think a lot of people think drugs laws should be overhauled (this is possibly not the thread for this discussion though after this tragedy).
If he had been murdered and had links to SAFC and this board then I'd agree. The only link is that he is a mate of someone who posts on here. That's not to say that it isn't a tragedy for the man himself, his family and friends. Of course it is, it's a terrible tragedy, but I can't see any reason why this can't expand out to discuss the wider issue of drug taking and its acceptability within society.

Then I think all drugs should be legalised and regulated. The "war on drugs" is fake and used for political ends.

If only it was that easy. You probably know the job I do, so for the last 20 years I've seen the effect of drugs on people and their family and friends. If I thought legalizing illegal drugs was a solution I would say so, but it's a lot more involved than just that, as I'm sure you'd agree.

I don't know your job. But I feel if drugs were not illegal then they would be cheaper and associated crime would be lessened. They are not going to go away so they should be available legally.

First hand experience of dealing with the effects of drugs counts for nothing to the pro drugs lot on here

Larry wasn't in the wrong place at all, the druggie who killed him was. Yet a cursory glance at this board will show you that it is considered acceptable to take drugs.
Agreed. Unbelievable scenario but you are right.

Murder isn't going to go away. Should we legalise that as well?
