Stick with Lyth. Robson's technique looked pretty ordinary last time he had a go. Hales looks good, but he's not opening for Notts currently. Mind you if Ballance and Bell continue to play the way they are going he might be getting a run out in the middle order. Bell looked like he'd lost the plot in the 2nd innings at Lords.
No chance, he has 1 bad test! he's averaging 58, he is here for the long haul man
He has earned that right but I'm not convinced. If he sits there on the back foot as he is doing he isn't going to have a very successful summer against the moving ball.
I don't think there's anyone who has looked at his normal big step backwards and thought 'that doesn't look right'. But, who can argue with sucess and we have to be honest and say that upto now success is what he has had.He has earned that right but I'm not convinced. If he sits there on the back foot as he is doing he isn't going to have a very successful summer against the moving ball.
Not convinced by that, its the way he has always played, he is a very good leaver too, will see
It is very hard for young players to come in at test level, look at Robson etc, when someone excels you stick with them through sticky patches, and he hasn't even had that yet
Compton for me.
This thread went well......
Sam Robson got a ton last summer, where is he now
Good knock by Lyth all the same.
