Been working every day of this test.

Flicked in and out of the game due to 3g signal dropping out on phone and the footy yesterday.

But even though I've seen bits and pieces I'm buzzing, I've been slating england as much as anyone on here. But by god winning tests is a great feeling and to do it against a high quality opposition is even more thrilling.

I've been jumping in and out of this match due to working every day of the test. Been listening on TMS and watching on my phone when 3g signal held.

I've slated England as much as anyone and there's still a long way to go for us as a team. But by god it's great to get the winning feeling back against top opposition in a cracking test match. Great start to the summer haway England.

Also Ben Stokes proving all the idiots wrong has been fantastic. All the pundits were giving stokes stick in the indian/sri lankan series and he's stuck his fingers right up at them now

The stats may back Ali but it's obvious Cook doesn't trust him. There's no obvious frontline spinner out there, why not use GoldenArm Root and add another player to the attack one way or another?

IMO Ali is better than Root. And I'd only look at replacing Ali if it was for a frontline spinner. If Root is our only spin option id be worried.

Poor blighter.

Can you explain what has caused a Trott-esque blow out?

Excellent result. New Zealand batting today left a lot to be desired, but you can only beat what's put in front of you and it was great to see both Durham lads have an impact. Hopefully we can kick on from this; but the top order collapses in both innings mean the shadow of a certain class act still looms very large.

He took offence to me pointing out he claimed we would be beaten inside three days every Test this summer. Mental.

Been playing today and missed all the fun but sounds like it's been a great day and superb result.
Hopefully a kick start to a good summer.

Just got in, 5 days of fantastic cricket, one of the all-time great innings yesterday by Stokes, Lords is a fantastic place to watch cricket

This England team is full of young talent, and the crowd really connected with them, I never heard anyone mention a certain KP once, everyone backing the young lads on show.

Few points, we won't see Stokes for Durham again for a long time he is special, Broad was fantastic, proving a lot of people on here is worthy of his place

Cook is back to his best as a batsman but the main thing was how well he captained today, he was absolutely brilliant, bowling changes spot on brought about wickets, not relying on Anderson.
