earlier on, the verdict,i liked simon jones appraisal of wood, who reminds me a lot of jones himself.

coney felt that would could be susceptible to injury, with his action

Warney just spoke sense about the fact the Captain should be held more responsible for poor performances rather than keep sacking coaches.
Damn, I was wanting to watch that.

Poor start this morning, Cook making it easy for the NZ'ers

Ridiculous how easy it was for these two to reach their 100/50 there, no point or 3rd man, easy runs with no pressure on them, no aggression from Cook and England, the bowlers are in for a long day here.

Jesus man. How much of the ball needs to be hitting the stump for it not to be "umpires call". Joke of a decision against Wood there.
if he missed it altogether the stump would have flew out of the ground. i mainly blame the ump not giving it, in the first place

nz lead by 18

50 percent of the ball has to hit. That's not marginal though that was clearly hitting they have to change the system far too many umpires call that are properly hitting.

Not necessarily. That tech has error in and the 'it must be a full hit' is meant to compensate for that.
i agree bri but that must have been at the absolute limit between umpires call and a red out symbol

botham has long championed that you should not lose a review option, when those decisions happen and imo he is spot on

this doc behind the scenes at yorkshire, could give us an insight on gillespie, if he takes the england job

Rumour around Lords today is he's already agreed to take over.
its a good insight this. he appears a very relaxed and someone who allows players to express their opinions. could be what england need as i get the impression under moores, no one was enjoying the game.

i sense a similar charaxter to lehmann

such a shame on a saturday. its blue sky and warm sun in washington today and we are only about 600 mile from the artic circle

the documentary is an ongoing series, by the looks of it. i wouod have thought it will be on demand

there is another documentary coming on sky later in the summer entitled "pace like fire". all the great old fast bowlers contributing.

reminds of a booking i got playing footy last century, when the refs report started "had fire in his eyes".
