The righteous lefties never do that marra. Goes against their programming. Minds as open as Amazon's cheque book.
Righteous is spot on. Apparently "daft bint" is "personal abuse" now. I've heard worse in the playground.

And then when they lose the argument they spit their dummies out and flounce off in a huff :):)

In addition to the obvious meaning, "righteous lefties" also nods to the fact that they hypocritically preach left and live right. Gleefully gobbling up salaries, homes and lifestyles far beyond anything their much vaunted "working man" could dream of, all provided by the centre-right politicians that they slag to the point of nonsense.

You lost and flounce off in a huff? Bye! :)
Not lost. Just simply refuses to debate with someone whose response is abuse. It's not a difficult concept.

What I can't understand is why when someone criticises the current government the reply is that old governments never did anything about it, as if that legitimises current practises.

Have Amazon announced they are giving up zero hours contracts?
Have Amazon announced they are going to stop GPS tagging their staff?
Have Amazon announced that they are going to stop timing toilet breaks?
Have Amazon announced that they are going to give more than a 30 minute lunch break for a 10 hour shift?

And has Gideon announced that he's going to do anything about any of the above?
Because there's nothing illegal about that. It's not Amazon that need to be questioned

We must be moving forward, the previous were worse .

Sorry - did Labour do any of this, or make them pay tax in the UK during their 13 years in power? No?

Why not take the blinkers off and give credit when it's due you daft bint.

The conservatives wouldn't have done anything about it had the mood not shifted, credit to them for tackling it but there will be a way this will be alleviated. A hastening of TTIP may just do the trick; "That tax you impose upon us, well it hinders our growth and development, remove it at once!"

The good thing about Amazon is the other sellers in their, the things amazon sell themselves is always overpriced and they get shown uo by the other sellers on their site.

Fuck me that was hard to read.

They didn't have to. in fact, you could say the UK as an individual state had their hands tied by the EU and the introduction of this legislation is a very brave move.

We aren't the only country to be affected by these structures, and the G20 have a project called BEPS which considers the effect of profit shifting arrangements on the base erosion of each member state. Firm EU wide measures will be introduced in due course.

So we have effectively jumped the gun by bringing this in, and it looks to be a good decision.

So the EU would have pushed this upon us anyway? God damn Marxists!

Loads of companies do most of the things you mentioned, Amazon aren't an exception.

Agreed. As long as the companies don't squirm out of the law.

I worked at 2touch for a few months in 2006, you got five minutes outside of your lunch break to use the toilet which was timed from the minute you left your desk, took at least a minute to walk there and back.
