How could SAFC improve match day experience ?

Win, nowt else, just win.
How do you win off the pitch in a commercial activity?

While i agree with most, anyone who cant orgsnise themselves to have a tenner on them when walking in shouldnt reslly be let out of the house alone.

Ive made numerous complaints to safc about the catering and the response was about as much use as the morons behind the bar.

Im 90% sure safc run the show now, they must miss out on thousands each game due to shite staff, pissing off their hardcore support at the same time.

I lad i know leaves his seat on about 44 minutes and yesterday was the first time in months there was a pie left when he was served.

But what happened v everton boxing day the other year took the biscuit. Prem concourse ran out of glasses and it took about 10 minutes for some to arrive. When i mailed the club/lindley about this they said more fans were there than expected. Unreal. It would have been more or less a sellout days before the game.

Which they do by leaving the house and going to a cash machine. Less trips if there are some on the stadium.

If the club do view this board what would you recommend the club did to make your visit to the SOL better ...off the pitch / commercial activities only ... 'm sure there's many more ideas ...

Cash machines inside the ground.
Only when the ground is used more often cos it's a security risk.
More of those roving beer sellers.
But not Fosters, decent beer instead.
Stop serving pints 10 mins before start of match so people get in their seats.
Good idea
Have pints pulled and waiting for half time to speed up the queues.
Turbo pouring (2 seconds a pint) ... as at Wrigley field, Chicago.

Keep bars open for an hour after the match like in the premier concourse.
I would stay cos I hate the overcrowded Metro. Would others?
Play Wise Men immediately after every win.
We won't wear the stylus out.
Play songs that we have adapted to Sunderland songs rather than whatever the fcuk was being played yesterday, helps create better atmosphere.
Mmmmm?
Free tickets for SC holders to the first rounds of both cups.

Widening the concourse is a must. Better organisation generally ended down there, not least with the bars.

Would definitely move the away fans. North east corner possibly. And I wouldn't have the corners open for cup games unless a big crowd is expected.

Should sell more SAFC merchandise inside the ground.

Aye, and while I'm at it, let's have a retractable roof. It was bloody freezing yesterday.

You missed the monorail off that list.

Hanging baskets in the access ways and some floral displays on the touchline to make it look prettier.
I wrote to the club not long ago suggesting a few brightening up techniques, that I thought would look good. They took the time to write a nice thank you reply, and says they've got similar things planned for the near future. Nee mention of hanging baskets though ;)

If people cannot go a few minutes without a pie or pint, they perhaps shouldn't leave the house

Isn't the question about matchday experience then?
That would improve my matchday 100%

Good idea with regards to kiosks closing 10 mins before kick off but thats lost revenue for the club.

Dunno if this is possible but dont open the big exit doors until full
time whistle. Make it selected turnstile exit only (turnstiles normally are able to go both ways). Queues at exit turnstiles may encourage people to just stay until the gates open.

Post match build up should have a more local feel about it. Music by local bands, local songs from folklore, Sunderland songs, that type of stuff to build atmosphere.

I'd also like the club to take a bit more pride in the stadium, look after it more, give it some character with genuine stand names, celebrate our illustrious past a bit more. All those things can only add to the sense of history and atmosphere and improve the matchday experience. Small percentages and all that.

At the minute, the stadium is in a bit of an in-between place. The novelty of the 'newness' has gone but it hasnt quite to the age where it has established a soul. A few small amendments would improve this immediately. Doesnt have to be artificial shite like big flag poles and an eagle dropping the matchball out of its beak onto the centre circle spot or any of that shite, just a bit more emphasis on the clubs tradition would do nicely

Goal updates on the scoreboards would be nice, would stop people boring me to death about them not being able to get 4g in the stadium as they check their bets.

The stands should have had real names from the off, but better late than never.

Im amazed This has never been addressed or implemented when the Stadium First opened.

Open the gates at half time so I can go for a smerk, reduce ticket prices, do something about the lack of parking.
