Na I get that marra, but you could also argue that by the time you get through people have had more to get pissed and the way we are all planning to walk is the usual route so will be an obvious target. Like I said, big numbers wont have much to worry about anyway, but just pointing out if someone wants to have a pop they as just as likely on a street as they are in a pub.

So what is the actual point in doing it? You really think its less hassle than just drinking in Sunderland? Go for it if thats what you want, but its asking for bother like.

I was wondering if there is a train and metro close together so if all don't get on one then get on the other
 
The 'officials' at tonight's meeting were adamant this approach is the way forward, I disagreed but we'll see on Sunday.

They reckon they have procedures to cover any disruption, even before we arrive. Apparently each metro station en route to Newcastle will have a police presence.

They even compared it to the Merceyside Derby at one point, which is a bit worrying.

That is very worrying as it is a lot different to our derby. Fans sit together in that game and I've never heard of any major trouble. It is also two teams from the same city unlike our derby

They have got this very wrong. Mags hate us, we hate them. Simple really!

It's obviously part of a long term strategy to try and remove the hatred. Good luck to them, they'll need it.

Coppers have said what I thought they would and kept up the stance of "your free to do what you want" because that's what they've said from the off. They were never gonna say you can't go to certain places. There basically saying, do what you want but don't expect us to help if your stupid enough to get in bother, we will be on hand to restore order (arrest anyone in the vicinity)
The only thing that is said is there is a contingencey plan if needed I.e if a couple of thousand turn up they will have to move to stop it getting out of hand

Gannin through on me own and keeping me head down. Pretend I'm a shopper on something. Decided to try and get to the ground for opening which I assume is midday. No point going to a mentally packed pub trying to get a pint. It fucks me off on a home derby when the bar is 5/6 deep at 10am and your waiting half an hour to get served so would be loads worse for this.
