Its one thing buying players like Balotelli, its quite another to manage his ilk effectively. Clearly Rodgers has no idea how to get the best out of him.
The was a great line when he joined the Dippers. Not sure who said it. But something like Clubs are always excited to get Mario and even more excited to see him go

Go onto Wiki and have a look at his goal scoring record. He hasnt played many games mind but his goals per game ratio is good. He is a clearly a temperamental fucker, almost baby like, but for the manager who can manage him properly and get the best out of him then you are on to a good thing.

Cant see him and Sterling hitting it off in say the CL. Like chalk and cheese.

Reckon he traded shirts HT as he didn't want to play the second half.

Aye, it was featured on the telly. He clearly has a f***ing bad attiude but has scored goals at a good ratio at places like milan and with Italy. He's crying out for someone to manage him properly but it looks as though Rodgers is out of his depth in that department.

His goal record is heavily tempered by penalties

1 in his last 22 premier league games is all you need to know.

It is. Agreed. Tells you everything you need to know about the people who have managed him. Not a clue how to get the best out of him, unlike a club like say Milan who did.

He has been managed by some of the best managers in the game and they've all deemed him not worth the hassle. Who is going to be this manager who gets the best out of him? He's got to stop being such a stroppy twat and get his head down and work, he's no longer the up and coming prospect now, he's got to start delivering.

Not one manager has even sussed what sort if striker he's supposed to be. He can finish but he'll never be a poacher because he doesn't seem to have the awareness to understand where he's supposed to be. He can't play as a lone striker because his attitude is appalling and he's not willing to put in the graft. What exactly does he do? He's got bags of ability but rarely shows it.

I stood up for him when he signed for City because I believed he had the talent and thought he might grow up in time. For me though I think he's just stood still for about 4 years and people are beginning to get sick of him. More hassle than he's worth. I don't think it'll work out at Liverpool either, his ponderous attitude in the ball is the exact opposite of the way Liverpool play football, I'm not sure why Rodgers signed such an ill fitting player to his system.

He'll walk away from football before he reaches 30 IMO just doesn't look like someone who wants to play the game

ah now we are talking the same language. Lets get this straight the fucker is a petulant cry baby. but given the right manager and the right club/international team he has scored goals at a good ratio.

You clearly have a problem understanding his mentality. Its like telling someone suffering from depression to "snap out of it". Thats not the way you deal with it. This lad needs everyone to fawn over him and tell him that he is f***ing great. He needs someone other than some average kid like Sterling to play up front with him.

Spot on, twice in the opening minutes tonight Liverpool had counter attacks break down because he stalled on the ball and failed to play Sterling in, he looks totally out of sync with his team mates

...and wat a waste it will be. A lad who has immense talent but who isnt managed properly.

What has he ever done to justify all this?

He has a decent shot, and can take a penalty

For that level of striker, European cup quality, he's f***ing shite.

I bet it's not far off half of his career goals being penalties

Comes a point though where some of that responsibility has to fall on the player. He wont be the first to waste some of that talent and he's not a teenager any more..
