didn't this have a bit through a garden where you were ordered to walk?!
Yeah, went through it twice . . .prob only about 100m in total. . .both my miles with that section in were approx 10sec slower than my overall pace so wasn't too big a deal in the end. The alternate to accessing the garden was running down then up some steps. . . .i fcukin hate steps :)

cheers, might give it a go.

Got kielder marathon Sunday, no training and had roughly 40 pints this weekend. Dreading it.
 Good effort lad

Good luck on Sunday too . . was it you that managed edinburgh marathon without much training ?

Andy Holden, who has died aged 65, was a UK record holder for the 3,000m steeplechase and an athlete of remarkable versatility, achieving the unique feat of representing Great Britain in five distance running disciplines: roads, cross-country, fells, and indoors and outdoors on track.
In an era when the enthusiastic amateur could still excel in athletics, Holden — a dentist by profession — managed to compete at the highest level without sacrificing his passion for real ale. He reputedly drank 10 pints of beer the night before winning the Bermuda marathon in 1979, a race which saw him break Ron Hill’s course record and beat a world-class field that included Charlie Spedding, who would take the bronze medal in the marathon at the Los Angeles Olympics five years later. Massive lads fan, apparently a season ticket holder at the SOL.

Looking forward to Kielder on Sunday. Not expecting to get an amazing time but just looking to enjoy the race and beat my time from 3 years ago when I did 4:26.

I'm gonna turn up at the strollers session tonight. It says 7pm on the website. Is that start time? Should I be there ten minutes before?

Cool. So you don't need to be a member to get in the Cricket club these days?

Ive used the bar plenty of times and never needed to be a member, I reckon most strollers wont be members of the cricket club also - prob only need to be a member if using gym/squash/cricket
