He is the Sporting Director of the club.....charged with providing the manager with a team capable of implementing his preferred choice of style and formation.....and after being a firm advocate of 433 he's had to abandon it due to not having the quality players to implement it......If Congers wasn't given enough he should have intimated so......instead of waffling on about it being tough out there.

We played a consistent front three last season.....an inverted winger and two forwards, one of whom played wide. Gus has tried (and failed) to replicate it with Wickham out wide and he's now been forced to implement a different formation.....which lacks balance and any real threat.
