Enough is enough

Altidore. Might be a nice guy. Might not be nice to get on his back. But enough is enough. Woeful and embarrassing.
If anyone defends him now, I give up.

Your 100% right mate. The bloke didn't even look Northern League standard when he was threw on. Taking AJ off too unbelievable.

No. I think the team was terrible today. But Jozy is really really out of his depth. He has no clue. I called him last year and got lambasted on here.
If you rate him as a footballer I'm genuinely bewildered

I don't think he's good at all. I just think it's pathetic that people choose a specific (Fletcher, colback, altidore...) scapegoat on the pitch, when really there's plenty of others whose performance is poor. Above all, its amazing how much the management is overlooked when trying to apportion blame.

In the same way I hoped Thomas Hauser, Brett Angel, Jon Stead (etc.) would come good, I had the same hopes and dreams for poor Jozy. But I have to say that cameo was one of the most inept displays I've witnessed. Well OK, I've seen worse (probably) but it's so frustrating how bad he looks. f***ing hopeless. Danny Graham would be a better bet and that's saying something! :(

I don't believe anyone could watch that today and pick out Altidore for criticism.
Were you there? It is one of the most incompetent footballing displays I have ever seen. If he played for another team, I'd be pissing myself laughing. Unfortunately he plays for us. If a player can't even control the ball on multiple occasions I think they are putting themselves up to be criticised

Been telling you lot, and even told him (via Twitter) this last season and got ripped to shreds on here.

Now you lot are finally agreeing with me!

There is still now I bet but there was a still a huge chunk of posters who were calling him from day one. To claim you were some sort of lone voice back then is crazy
I certainly wasn't a lone voice, my post came across like that however, which it certainly wasn't meant that way.

But it still astounds me people defended him then, and still now.

The whole team werent good today, but dear God this bloke can't even control a football.

I was listening to the world football phone in on 5/live when we signed him and the European expert (Paul Sarahs) called it spot on. Without going into to much detail he basically said he is nowhere near a PL footballer

you're a cock, daddy. No matter how racist you are, going out of your way to hurl racist abuse at him was simply bang out of order and not befitting a Sunderland gadgie

I was actually a bit excited when he signed, watched his best bits on YouTube, big, strong, was firing them in from all angles.

...then reality set in when he took to the pitch in the famous red and white strip!

Racist?

I think you should revisit my tweet mate, because the last thing I, and that tweet are, is racist!

I'll be expecting an apology!
