Seems an odd rule. Fair enough stopping a county shipping in world beaters just for a final, but ruling out a young lad from the academy?
He's not from the academy though? He's an Irish player they just picked up this season, mustard hadn't even seen him play when he took his fifer on debut.

It's the rules as they've not played in previous rounds they cannit play in the Final. I'm sure football has similar rules.

Aaron and Chase haven't played in the competition they cannit play in the Final. Coughlin is the only bowler we have fit who can come in.

Scotty 50 up 122/4 off 29.3 so scoring at a great rate even though it seems a bowler friendly day.
Didn't know that. Makes sense though.
Definitely a bowlers wicket like. Though runs to be had as there's plenty of bad balls .... Don't think our bowlers will be as wayward.
Sure this is the same attack we beat during the promotion season in 2005. Been a good days Cricket so far, enjoyed it! Shame about the below-par crowd though.

Scotty's fifty came up with a lovely blast straight back over the bowlers head. Then caught off a no ball. Followed by another four just slightly wide of the fielder at a good catching height. Living dangerously

Not as far as I know :confused:

Chase was at the academy last season and also played 2nd eleven cricket. Durham brought him back to play some cricket half way through this season as they had so many injuries. The lad bowled well for the 2nds and has taken his chance in the 1st team. He won't get a contract with Durham next season as he is centrally contracted to Ireland, but Durham are hopefull they can have a similar arrangement next season.

Cheers, way Mustard spoke about him on comms on his debut he seemed to know very little about him.

Cat with nine lives and another lovely four. 194 for four.

I think a lot of people looked at the weather and decided nah! First batting point gained and a. Very appreciative but small crowd ....

100 partnership. Turned it round nicely. Tea due soon though so we'll inevitably lose a wicket before then.

@DurhamCricket: 100 for Scott Borthwick! 157 balls, 14x4s. We are 230-4 https://t.co/W05I9BGZ8o

Good stuff.

Durham 2-1 Northants.

Middlesex getting belted all over Taunton aswell - likely be them v Lancashire on Sky next week in a winner takes all relegation battle.
