Will all be taking a break when the internationals are on, and should be even hungrier for not getting in the squad.

It won't do us any harm in the short term, especially with us still being in the League Cup. Hodgson will at some point have to start watching us more due to our having a core of English players. It should only be a matter of time before one to two come through.
 


You can see Rodwell getting back in once he proves his fitness (whether Catts is playing better at the time or not). Rodwell has that international look about him.

I actually doubt it. If you wear a Sunderland shirt the FA and whichever wanker happens to be England manager at the time will ignore you. Kevin Phillips & Darren Bent being prime examples.

If Wickham had went to West Ham though he'll be all over all the England merchandise already.

Bent and Phillips both played for England while at sunderland.

Neither really looked the part when they did play. Is there a number of caps where it stops being an agenda against the club?

Colback would have never got in the England squad before those 4 if he was still at Sunderland. It's clear now that the Penguin makes his selection based on media opinion.

Ask Adam Johnson on that one. Regular in the England squads but rarely started for his club at all.
Gave up his immediate chance of England squads to regularly play football in the months between International breaks so I'd imagine he'd be reluctant to go back to that.

Besides, Rodwell just followed the Johnson 'way' so it's looking like quite a few now cherish club football rather than the poisoned chalice of playing (and getting slaughtered by the press and public) for England.
 
im american but if wickham was on the back of an england kit, id buy that shit up in a hurry.
