You're the manager of Sunderland's opponents.

Put any fairly quick lads up top, then tell the rest of the team to knock it behind our centre backs at every opportunity.

I don't think its neccessarily that simple.

More a case of type of players picked to face us.

Pacey teams, that flood forward in numbers rattle us.

Teams that sit in front of us passing it about don't really frighten us.

So I think any manager will be picking the fastest players/strikers and saying get it forward quickly before they get organised.

Pressure Cattermole whenever he's in possession and you'll get a mistake that will give you a chance to score.

Draw Larsson out of the midfield with a few passes around the defence. He'll chase it down on his own and the other CM will be nowhere near him so take advantage of the space. Then look for passes into channels once they're disjoinyed .

Tap Fletchers ankle or maybe tickle him. He'll go down injured and limp about for the next ten minutes moaning about the "foul" offering no out ball to his team mates.

"Their defence is slow. If you keep running at them with pace, and you are patient, they will eventually slip up. Keep your shape, keep up the pressure & keep up the speed, and you'll win this lads."

"Who's the fastest player here?"
"Me, gaffer"
"Right, I want you to play on the shoulder of O'Shea for 90 minutes, guaranteed 3 points. Anyone for a pint?"
"There's a game to be played, gaffer"
"Right, I forgot, see ya later"

Tell the lad who has never scored/is getting pelters for being shit/hasn't scored in 20 games to enjoy his goal(s) out there today.

Also tell the defence to sit deep as we wouldn't have the quality to break them down.
