My goodness, there are some shockers there, most of whom I had, thankfully, forgotten about! If you add in some of the terrible loanees in the Championship, we.ve had some absolutely awful players in the last few years.

Graham has to be in there IMO, and I think that's harsh on Semenyo, who never got a chance and has done well in the Championship this season. I think its harsh on McLaughlin too.

I've had to cheat a bit on some of the positions but I'd go something like

Some players never had a run of games so it's hard to judge them. Others were - I think - unfairly rated as they were part of a crap run of results or under a crap manager (Parky).

But I can say for certain that Remi Matthews, McFadzean, Lynch, Dobson, Grigg and Graham would certainly be up for consideration in my squad of worst Sunderland players of all time.

I'd also have to give a special merit award to Aiden O'Brien for running around a lot and achieving very little.
