Your three to go down right now.

Now us Burnley and Leeds wont get 40pts
If we get a goal scorer and a couple of CH , we have a chance of getting 40 or more pts
That will than bring brentford, bmouth, and others into the mix like man u and spurs last season
Atm there is no pressure on the 17 other teams as 3 coming up struggle to get 30pts making it easy for the others to guarantee staying up

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Everton as one who might find themselves in trouble. They’ve been scrapping at the bottom of the league pretty consistently the last few years and moving to the new ground might not work in their favour.

Mind I quite like Everton and would rather see them in the prem, just not at our expense.
Moyes going into to full self preservation mode before a ball has been kicked in anger isn’t a good sign for Everton. We’ve seen first hand what happens when the mood hoover gains suction.

Honestly at least one promoted team will stay up this season.

Brentford are weak, best players wanting out, Frank leaving. I also think Wolves will struggle.

Based on our outrageous spending, I think we will finish 16th. Afcon will definitely hit us, why can't they have it in July like other continents.

18. Wolves.
19. Brentford
20 Burnley

July in Morocco

Burnley - look like they've not particularly improved and have lost a couple of key players. Maybe Scott "Scottie" Parker hopes to bore teams to death.

Bournemouth - need a new defence iirc and seem to be gambling abit on signings. Surely one time things might not work out so well for them as they seem to have a charmed life this far. Small part of my thinking is also snobbery I'm afraid, although obviously well ran, they're punching well above any history or achievement and also have the location advantage which has become such a factor in attracting modern footballers.

One out of Us, Leeds, Wolves and Brentford.

Brentford seems the most likely given all the massive upheaval they've gone through and the loss of Frank, who is obviously a very good manager. But you can't look past any of the other 3 either including ourselves. There's probably 3 or 4 others who might get dragged in during various stages of the season too.

We really need to improve both firepower up front and our defence. We're paper thin in both areas in terms of first XI players of enough quality and ability to actually create threats and also stop them.

I'm far more concerned about injuries than AFCON at the moment as if we lose someone for an extended period the list of potential "understudies" who will step in isn't confidence inspiring just now.

Two CB's better than we currently have, 1 left and 1 right footed in a perfect world, and a target man style, experienced CF (rare as hens teeth and pricey) who can hold the ball up. Not necessarily someone who starts every game but ideally can make the difference if we need to change tack. Someone like a Danny Wellbeck. Or a Big Jan Koller BHH!!

If I'm being greedy I'd like more cover at both LB & RB given how fragile our current incumbents are.

Brentford
Sunderland
Burnley

Although it does feel like now is as good a time as any to make a go of staying up.

Brentford and Bournemouth have lost key players without significant strengthening, Everton, Wolves and West Ham are nothing special and even teams like Palace and Forest could struggle with European adventures.

Cant see Everton, with feelgood factor of a new ground featuring.

Mind I would fecking love to send that dour old twat down on the final weekend.
Ah see I thought the opposite. Goodison park was a fortress at times. I doubt the new stadium will have such a buzz.

Plus, more seats leads to more tourists which leads to a duller atmosphere. They have sh*t players that relied heavily on the crowds energy. I think they're in deep sh*t.

Newcastle for me are in absolute turmoil. They are half the team without their best player. They have a very shallow squad. Outside their first 11 they have average to poor squad players and 6, yes 6 senior goalkeepers

The teams already there know exactly what they need to do to stay up due to experience.

The teams promoted are the ones to find it a huge struggle from day one, unless the recruitment is really good.

I think its daft to predict three clubs to go down at present when the transfer window has another month yet.

Better to say who is going to be in bottom 6 or 7 and be in a relegation battle.

3 promoted clubs, Wolves, West Ham, Brentford and possibly/probably Palace.

They are the teams we've got to get ahead of somehow.

Everton too

Unless we improve our defence it’ll be Burnley, Leeds and us. Oh and there’s AFCON to contend with.
Just seen a post about being able to postpone afcon games possibly.
Sorry if seb.

I thought before a deal was signed that the weakest part of our squad for Premier League football, was central defence.

That remains the case.

For all the great work we’ve done elsewhere, we’re going down unless we sort that out. I’d guess with Burnley and Leeds as it stands. Maybe West Ham or Brentford as a dark horses.

Still plenty of time of course, but that just shows the folly of asking this question now.
