Your three to go down right now.

i wouldn't write off Man Utd. They're currently a total skip fire.
I think anyone who finished in the bottom half last year looks shakey realistically.
And add Brentford to that.
Bournemouth have lost a couple of key players too.

We need to treat every game as a cup final next season.

I just can't see any team going down having Xhaka as Captain and leader, unless he's surrounded by absolute shite, which isn't the case (two CB's and a striker, maybe a winger too and we'd be really competitive).
I would go for Burnley, Leeds and Wolves. Brentford, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace also with a chance.

We'd still go down with the current defence so "as it stands" we're still in there, but we know this is being worked on.

Hard to look past us, Burnley and probably Brentford right now, with Leeds in the mix too. We need to spend on our defence and goals are a worry. It's gonna be a tough season but just hope we have enough.
If I was a Brentford fan I'd be thinking the fun is over and we are pretty sure to be on a downward spiral.

Look lads. I hate gambling because I'm traumatised for life after having to look in every betting office in Horden to find me fatha on Saturday mornings.

But, such is my confidence, I've placed a bet on us to be the top relegated team and also to stay up.

For reference, as a child, me fatha asked me and me sister to pick some horses out of the newspaper for his Grand National bets. I picked Red Rum. The year was 1973.

My favourite 3 to go down on me.. Beyonce, Madonna and that bextor lass who can't sing or dance. My tastes are a bit classical in that regard.

Sorry, what was the question again?

The three that went up, unfortunately, at this present moment....and comfortably at that.

Regardless of who else we sign, we MUST get off to a decent start given our kind early fixtures.

If we get off to a decent start we've got a fighting chance of 16th or 17th, and possibly Wolves or Brentford (or possibly both) being dragged into contention.

Cannot see any scenario where Burnley stay up at all, ourselves and / or Leeds have the financial means to potentially buck the trend of the last few years (but will require sides to gel, and gel fast). Big, big ask mind.

I'd snap anyones hand off right now for 17th on goal difference.

Right now Us, Leeds and burnley

We are doing some really positive things but we need more at the level of xhaka at centre half and striker as well as good use of loan market.

We’ve given ourselves a much better chance than I thought we would and can go into the season with a degree of optimism.

We all need a bit of patience as we will take some beatings this season but we will also surprise some teams.

In summary Great start, things pointing in the right direction but more work to do

HTFL
Great post.

my heart wants to say we'll stay up, but anyone saying anything other than the 3 that came up is taking a massive leap of faith. although, i don't think either of the three clubs coming up will worry derby's record.

only glimmer of hope, the changes at brentford & wolves selling talent could see them slip up.
