I was a welder and doing Metallurgy at college moving into a degree. I had a survival course booked on the rigs to become an underwater welder. I then got an offer in1986 to play Ice Hockey for Swindon (getting paid) so I came down here and ended up in IT in 1988. I am a technical IT Project Manager and have been self employed since 1996. I have no money as "I have been married 3 times", the people down here when they lose there jobs and get 2 years redundancy and have a final salary pension scheme have no idea of the pit villages people who were of an age who could not move or retrain. I was lucky as fuck. I was lucky and I am happy as fuck.
