Your England ODI team for September

I haven’t thought too much of an 11 myself so can’t criticise too much but I’m seeing a lot of Sam Curran being picked and not only picked but as captain which in my eyes would be a massive back step.

Duckett (WK)
Buttler
Hain
Root
Brook
S Curran (C)
Ahmed/Jacks
Archer
Rashid
Topley
Mahmood
I do hope we move on from Rashid now. As much as I love him and what he's done for English cricket and the wider South Asian community. His powers have been on the slide a while now.

Time to blood the next lot of spinners! Because it'll take a few before we land on another Rash.

I wouldn't be surprised if Buttler calls it a day for England to play more on the T20 circuit before he fully retires, same with Rashid. The reality is there's not really anyone banging at the door for a call up, especially batsmen.

Hain.... He has played... he is not one of the lads he is quiet he doesn't drink, he doesn't play golf.

Bethell will be in there he plays golf he drinks.

That team is picked for 2021??? We have moved on hopefully.

This team is like picking a cricket captain team on the playstation for 2021?

Certainly would not be getting rid of Jamie Smith.

Yes he made 2 really bad decisions in this tournament but at the end of day it’s 2 games.

He is a really good talent and far too early to make a decision of not playing him
With an 6 test summer and a 5 test winter.

I’d rather non of the test players be involved in any white ball series this year tbh.

Got to pick guys that will definitely be there in 2027. Not sure on Jos or Root for that!

You absolute class you mind mate:D

I wish I was as knowledgeable as you about the habits of players!!

Next you be telling us how heathly Hain and Bethell eat!!

Their diet is immaterial but this ESPN summary makes you question Hain's omission and fuels conspiracy theories about the selection process.

Hain's 50-over form has been remarkable, marked by regular low-risk runs and the ability to rotate the strike against spin impressively in the middle overs, and his average - in the high 50s - has consistently been the best by an England player in List A history. In T20 cricket, he has been a mainstay of the Birmingham Bears side, but in an era of rich options for the national white-ball team, his England call-up has proven elusive.

We've batted okay in this tournament all told. It's our bowling that's been shocking.
