Cardiff away in 1980. What an atmosphere.

2-0 v West Ham to win promotion in 1980

That Chelsea Milk Cup semi at the Bridge

The Milk Cup Final when Rowell came round withe cup and me and my dad burst into tears

Being one of the lucky few at Sid James' for the first 2-1

5-0 Luton away when we won the title under Keane

All the wins against the Mags, Chelsea, the semi vs Norwich etc were fab but for a less high profile game I also enjoyed the 0-5 at Derby. I think it's just because it was at a time when generally it was a bloody brilliant time to be a Sunderland supporter. :)

And we haven't had many of those times over a decent period like we did then!:(

At a game the 4 1 at home to chelsea at halftime like someone had said, was special. One of my best mates is a Chelsea fan (A proper one) and i remember someone saying we're gonna hit them for 10 (And it looked like we could!) and stood just grinning like a numpty. Wasn't at any of the 85 cup run games but my older brother was (I was only 9) and remember watching the Spurs games with Turner out of this world and te Chelsea games and just feeling like something special was gonna happen. I was hooked from going to Roker before tha,t the odd game when i travelled home to see family, but something about that run stands out in my memory. I got hooked by the intensity of the fans and the atmosphere more than the game. When i went i was too small to hardly see over anyone but spent the time just looking around me at peoples reactions and singing and just felt at home and a part of it. As a young kid that feeling is hard to put into words. To feel part of a huge crowd and club and tradition and to feel......Christ i'm 37 now, and i still can't put it into words to do it justice

Play off semi at Sid James, what a night :D

FA cup Semi Final in 1992 :D

2-1 win Richardson's free kick

0-3 PDC's slide down the touch line, Pardew's face when he thought they'd equalised

Bugger it. Forgot to put in Norwich cup semi. I put it down to drinking about 25 pints of Stones beforehand. That prob was my favourite.

Was sent home from work the next day as I couldn't answer the phone as sung myself hoarse.

The day Newcastle United were relegated.
its very strange being a sunderland fan!..that balmy sunny afternoon in may 2009 was a very enjoyable day in many ways. The pressure, the relief, the joy, the bemused look on the chelsea players and fans when that roar went up after the final whistle as we had just got beat..........a cracking day out !That roar was amazing, i was listening on the radio for the result then it was like an explosion going off ffn brilliant.

Same. I went out in Newcastle straight after as me and some mates had tickets to Evolution festival, I actually got to see first hand grown-men throwing their football shirts in the bin and crying.[DOUBLEPOST=1385204764][/DOUBLEPOST]
