You’ll smash it…

Yip. And if they simply remind me I’ll deal with it.

If they gently remind me I’ll make sure I ignore them as their passive aggressive and twee approach makes it clear they’re walkovers.

They probably say ‘thanking you’ as well.

I get "gentle reminders" and "polite reminders" and feel the same.

Also one company sends ***VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THIS TEXT*** on bulk messages to everyone, which usually relates to work I've already completed.

If somebody smashes it, you’re supposed to say ‘props to you’ aren’t you?

Don’t ask me why. I’m not an etymological archeologist. Well, I never bothered.

Is there a more annoying phrase at the moment than this?

Smash should be reserved for breakages, back doors and shite powdered potato.

Not for getting a new job or completing the Great North Run where it is generally said to people who are mediocre at best.
Ffs sake the level of opening posts is getting worse by the week.

You ok Hun??
You got a problem with people wanting make a positive difference to their life with sayings of forward momentum??!

Not everyone is level and has a stable base for life.

You've got a problem with the phrase smash this!! How sad is your life with a phrase that could actually empower people with physical or mental disabilities!!!
