Yorkshire vs Durham - 18-06-21 - T20


Technically played Yorkshire twice and got 3 points out of 4. Not bad. Alternatively Yorkshire played Durham twice and have accumulated 1 point.
 
A few who bothered turning up or live closer to the ground think they could have got a game in as stopped raining at half 7

the cut off time for a 5 over game was 9.27 and the game was abandoned just before 8. Presumably then, the umpires had said that it would take them more than one and a half hours to get the ground playable. With the state of the art drainage now available is it the case that Headingley no longer has test standard drainage? The new stand construction did create drainage problems.

Aye I believe that’s the case. Makes you consider whether it’s worth going, tomorrow being a case in point. Meant to dry up in time for the start but what will the state of the ground be?
