Great performance and result. Here's hoping we can put one over on Sussex now. An MDV double ton is long overdue! ;)

Was worried when Sidearse was going well, but well done to the lads for their patience. Looking forward to Wednesday now.

The question is would we have won both if we had enforced? Under what circumstances will we ever do so if you couldn't put the tykes in after skittling them?

Not sure about this fixation with setting 490, could bite us in the arse.

I thought at the time we were correct not to enforce against Hampshire withthe bowling options available at the time.

I thought we should have enforced against the Yorkies but i imagine that decision was all down to not wanting to over bowl Onions.

Seems to have worked, we're not bowling him this week

For the record I thought the Hants decision was correct. Curious, we drew that one and won the other

I am with you mate, although in the Hampshire game we were short of bowlers so more understandable. We could have been sitting on 46 points already which would have been an amazing start. I think the decision at Leeds had a lot to do with the reputation of the pitch there (which I am not so sure is correct lately). It was always a 'result' wicket, and you didn't want to be batting last regardless of the target.

To be fair, if we keep getting 450/350 plus in the first innings and skittling the oppo for under 300/150, I suspect we will be OK regardless;)

Let's hope so. Tempting fate I know but it looks like it could be another season of glory.

you could be tempting fate if Sussex win the toss tomorrow and bat in what promises to be glorious sunshine. Lets hope Benkenstein has a bit of luck around 10.30am or so!

Notts could be stronger than the last time we went head to head with them

Hoping the yaks get something from their double header
Not sure about that. The bloke who went a long way to winning them the title was Amla who played in the first few games, which they all won, and then he fucked off.

They kind of stumbled over the finish line and we murdered them up here.

Good squad but not as good as ours IMHO.

Spoke to MDV about the Hampshire game. He reckoned that the track was flat as owt. Absolutely nothing in it for the bowlers on the last day.

There was always something in the pitch for the bowlers at Leeds.

Conversation with MDV not needed to establish that ;) Just bad luck really

Why not shove someone back in when your struggling to get it off the square though?
