It's my "one more wicket and they will crumble" prediction I am more concerned about being horribly wrong. Since when did Ryan Sidebottom even know how to hold a bat?

He's always had a reasonable defensive technique but does seem to be improving. Got 60-odd last week in their opening game.

Since Duncan Fletcher got all the England tail working on their batting 10 years ago which means Ryan is a far improved batsman as is the likes of James Anderson (who was awful with the bat not so long ago but has improved out of sight)

An hour to get a wicket. We want shooting if we dont win from here.

Apart from the one game in 2001, did Sidebottom ever play under Duncan Fletcher?

Ive just got back in now, thought we'd have had it sown up long before now.

We best get a wicket because i've been winding all the lads at work up, and don't fancy facing them tomorrow if we dont

Its irrelevant as Fletcher set the precedence and Flower has continued it, which is why Englands lower order now chip in with valuable runs

Credit where it is due. Durham bowled much better and deserved the victory. Good to see some fine performances from young players on both sides, especially those qualified to play for England.

borthwick match figures of 5/54 and richardson with 7 catches and 140 runs on debut, some decent prospects, especially if you chuck in stokes

bump smith/muchall and richardson in as a batsmen?

Durham will win the league if everyone stays fit

Tip for div 2 - Northants.

Vaas will take loads on English wickets
Sales is back fit
Mal Loye is back and will score heavily

Top of the table - let's hope we can stay there. Good to see so many of the lads making a contribution.
