Yorkshire v Durham : CC September 24

An email a few minutes ago.....

Following the conclusion of the 2025 season, a members’ forum will be held in the Castle View Suite at 6pm on Wednesday 22 October. The forum is exclusively available to 2025 and 2026 members.

Tim Bostock, Marcus North, Ryan Campbell and Dani Hazell will be in attendance to answer questions from members.

Should be very interesting, but I see zero reason for Hazell’s attendance.

I also feel that they should extend it to all supporters (prioritising members, understandably).
Bostock "this is easily the best squad we've had at Durham in a generation":lol:

If you were born in 2018 maybe 🤷‍♂️
If that's the case, why have you given the head coach a new contract?

If all the players were available all the counties would be after them. Deluded.

I laughed at “we improved the squad from last season with Gay, Rhodes, Conners, etc”

Well, maybe in your opinion Tim, but the results and the stats absolutely do not back that up.

It’s not even the best squad Campbell has had.

- full interview here.

Who is interviewing? Should’ve been Marty.

He also takes zero responsibility for possible distractions following HIS interfering with the structure. Basically blames the players. The man is a snake oil salesman. The players may be ‘professional athletes’ but they’re human beings first and foremost and all professional athletes get affected by outside interference. ESPECIALLY interference as significant as that.

What a ***.

The batting is misfiring. The best player is contracted to South Africa, Lees is great, but the rest are middling or misfiring.
The all-rounder has gone missing and I doubt he even wants to play 1st class cricket.
The bowling is terrible apart from two players, one of which spends a lot of his time with England.

The captain is an empty vessel.

On the plus side I think a lot of the problem would be solved with better bowling resources and having a good captain.

Obviously not relevant next year for us unless you go to the Festival games, it seems the complaints about prices have been noted. Whether they are reduced who knows. Also the condition of the ground is up for discussion too.

I can't link to specific post, but it is the most recent one.
