Yorkshire v Durham : CC September 24

Aye been a one man attack most of the season Raine I have no idea what’s gone wrong with Potts. Was brilliant 2 seasons back is the England omission or just loss of form and confidence?
I think it's going away with England and then not bowling. He's hardly been here.

Pretty poor competition if he was but don't blame the kid. He's another youngster who's regressed under our current coaching team. Both Killeen and DeLeede would be far better choices for this game but both have been inexplicably excluded. And Hogg is clearly considered a better selection than new signing Bailey.
I'm seriously beginning to believe that North is progressing the demolition of our red ball cricket.
Not wrong matr
Durham have always even in the dark times had a good bowling outfit now they find it a absolute grind to take 10 wickets never mind 20

Yeah he was getting in closer to the stumps and making the batsman play and miss. Today it's all slightly short of a length angled in outside off stump and the batsman can just fend it away and wait for a loose one. How the coach and captain can't see this is beyond me.

My concern is that the focus of the academy appears to have switched to Parkview Academy where Thorp appears to be i/c.

I don't think it necessarily has, I think a lot of the good younguns are taking advantage of being able to do their A levels and work with Ash, whether they're in DCCC setup or not.

Certainly in favour of their doing their A levels but have any of Ash's prodigies forged a 1st class career?

Biggest session of the season coming up this morning, we have a new ball and the pitch has been at its most responsive on the two mornings we’ve seen so far. I genuinely believe we have to be batting after lunch and by that I mean the first ball, not an hour into the afternoon.

If we don’t dismiss them before Lunch we’re down and I’ll be sacking it off to watch the golf.

Tempted to stick the Surrey match on instead of Durham
I've got it on as I just can't see us taking the wickets we need anytime soon.

Yorkshire just need to see off Raine and Potts and then cash in. They don't need to force this game at all.
