Just heard nice stat on Talksport. York top of National League with 104 points, Rochdale on 102. Both have 2 games to go, with only 1 automatic spot.

2 points for York in those 2 games guarantees promotion, yet 3 points in those 2 games does not necessarily guarantee promotion!

Playing each other last game, and they have a 25 goal difference advantage.

My mate’s a York fan from York, but lived in Sunderland for 20 years now. I’m at the game with him on Saturday. He’s said he wants to stay down for the night cos it’ll be a sesh if they get promotion.

If York go up this season, they'll be one of the favourites to go up again the following season, great run little club

Absolutely, thunk there was a campaign earlier in the season where all matches kicked off 3 minutes late, it can take years to approve it from memory

Yeah I think it's down to all football league clubs, but it's also linked to the TV deal that they currently get from the premier league. To be fair I can see why some league 2 clubs would want it, but equally not

They did eventually come round to going from 1 place to 2. Also with 3 places it also makes it easier to get promoted again
