He was fit and playing (or mostly not playing) for the mags when they were in the semi final of the league cup, knock out stages of the Champions League and they were above us in the table. Beheaddie was picking Gordon upfront ahead of his £122M worth of new strikers.

Sorry you cherry picking and are just making excuses for him being shit. He has impressed at all and hasn't neen picked because of it. That's how football works.

Your second paragraph makes no sense, I assume you meant to say " He hasn't impressed.... " rather than " He has impressed..."?

Certainly, he's been very poor since joining newcastle, yet he scored 19 in 35 games the season before. Maybe he's shit, as you so eloquently put it, maybe he made a bad choice joining newcastle?

My opinion was I think he'd be worth a punt at £15m, given his PL record pre mags. It's every bit as valid as your opinion he's shit.

The bit about Brobbey having a word with Wissa was a light hearted comment after Wissa's ' like' for BBB after he tortured the mags.

No you were cherry picking the mags form when in reality they were doing OK (not so much in the league) until it all came crashing down when they got knocked out of 3 cups in about a month.

They were still talking about qualifying Europe before they played us and we broke them 😂

I'd certainly agree on that. The clowns up the road made Wissa one of two panic buys along with Woltemade, after Isak binned them.

Paid way over the odds for each of them, offered stupid salaries to get them on board and both have performed like duck eggs.

So, either both have turned useless despite previously been good players, or something is wrong up the road 🤔

Woltemade had 1 good season with Stuttgart after arriving on a free. Prior to that he struggled to get into Bremens first team and played mostly for their B squad in Bundesliga2.

He also had only just been called up to full international by Germany prior to joining the mags. He was still playing U21 as an overage player abd arguably got into the senior set up due to injuries to almost all the players ahead of him. He didn't score for the senior squad until after he'd gone to Newcastle.
