This isn’t a having a go at the club post in the slightest but you never know how it would have worked out if he did come here. I think we needed his type more than anything (OK, not as much as a striker) and sometimes players just do that little bit better when they’re really bothered. I think he’d have had that extra intensity here.

It never happened so we’ll never know but that’s my thought of the matter :D
 
To be fair he only played 9 games having barely played since the previous summer.

Of those 9 games only 3 were starts.

He’s hardly an impact sub.
 
I can't say I watched as many West Brom games in the last 5 months as Boinger but I thought he still looked classy on the ball. Just not fit. Tough to get up to match fitness with half a season of being mostly on the bench.

Before anyone starts am not saying bring him back (I was in January like :))

He played a few times, mixed reviews but generally baggies not impressed. I think last summer with ability to do a full preseason he could have been a decent signing and it’s just possible now he’s back to some level of match fitness that could still be the case but I think it’s pretty unlikely.
