You must know then. JH did approach SAFC and was more than willing, infact really wanting to come to SAFC, irrelevant of the financial impact on him. It’s a fact. I’m far from an ITK poster, but I do know this happened. Take it or leave it. The club messed him about, well KS messed him about.
To be fair, it would have been another PR own goal trailing on from the Mags match. Many on here, me included, said he burnt his bridges going across there, tarnishing a lot of the good work he’d done during covid, rainbow laces etc. Then he came out, made himself look daft, but almost insult everybody who was bothered to read/listen to his interview & say he wasn’t there for money but the “football project”.
The feelings of the Mags match are pretty fresh for me cos I’ve just got round to reading the WMS article 20mins ago. After “rolling the red carpet out” & stopping the sportswashing display, to then sign a player that actively downed all morals & joined a sportswashing project would have made us look further silly as a club, but basically mock any SAFC fan who’s spoke up against the Newcastle ownership & questioned the morals of their fans.
Jordan Henderson, pre Saudi, would have been a great signing on the pitch. Jordan Henderson, post Saudi, would have been a great signing on the pitch. Jordan Henderson, post Saudi, would have been a horrible mistake & a further disregard for supporters & their opinions & feeling.
In short, just f***ing sign M’Vila you useless bastards.
