If you don't think it fits the model then you dont understand what it is. They've never shied away from signing players who are 25+. They've signed loads, they're just always free transfers. This kind of signing is exactly what they said they would do.

Missing my point. He won't be match fit so let's say there is 5/6 games you lose him playing assume he plays u21 games to get some fitness. Leaves 12 games of the season left if we are adrift by then, big argument to say it is a waste of a signing.

Who are we going to sign that has been playing regular first team football? Who was the last one even?

The model is based around signing and developing players for future sales. Mvilla doesn't fit that window. Hence why they want rid of Pritchard and Batth. All players with no re-sale value.
Also when was the last player we signed over the age of 25?

I expect it to drag out, speakman will do an interview and say we can sign him after the window so no need to rush it, will sign some u21 kid on loan who has hardly played mens football before and nothing will come of mvilla.

Huge argument we might have him for 6 partial games then have him available for 13 full matches and say that's miles better than what we have now.
