I never got the argument about not paying £8m or whatever it was to get him out of his contract early...as soon as he signed a deal with us he'd have been a £20m player. He'd have moved within a couple of years for big money I've got no doubt about that, after Stefan Schwarz he's the best midfielder I've seen play for us.

To then go and get N'Dong is just mind blowingly stupid.
