From a calendar POV it's pretty ridiculous that we can't even get passed Halloween or Bonfire Night without seeing Christmas stuff everywhere

Yeah but I look forward to my summer hol more than 2 months in advance, I look forward to the new football season more than 2 months in advance, my son's birthday, weekends away with the lads, the lge cup final, look forward to them all more than 2 months in advance. 2 weeks off at Christmas and without doubt the best holiday of the year so why shouldn't people look forward to it well in advance.

Halloween is an American type holiday. Back in the day all we had was the odd kid going round doing trick or treat. Now it's all American bullshite. Bring on a proper party time .Xmas can't come quick enough.
