Xhaka vs Spurs whole midfield

One thing that really stands out with Xhaka, well it could also be said for most of our current team, is how much they clearly really enjoy playing football here.

I hope to god this lad stays on with the club in some sort of coaching capacity when he retires from playing.

I was thinking during the game that it’s so easy to bypass their midfield.

If our final ball had a bit more composure, we could have won that 6-0.
We let them off the hook a bit like. Brighton are comfortable in mid-table and enjoying themselves so I could see them going 3-0 up in the first half next week if Spurs play that open again.

Wasn’t there also a stat on MOTD that in total we won 22 tackles to their 5? That’s the most damming thing from Spurs perspective.

Spurs fans need to look at those pathetic stats for their 3 midfielders and realise that its not because of a Premier League conspiracy that they are in relegation trouble.

I would have thought it was impossible not to make a tackle in 270 minutes of football. No fight or spirit in that club

Xhaka is just an insane transfer, by far the best transfer we've ever made imo. He is a world class player that we had no right in getting but we did.
One of those players who just seems to make everybody around him take their game up a level.

Their starting CM (before they made subs after going 1-0 down) did not make one tackle. That’s combined from all 3 of them.
If that was us and we were battling relegation we’d be up in arms. A bit of self-reflection required from Spurs supporters rather than posting rubbish on twitter about the ref being biased.
