Xhaka, Le Fee and Mukiele

Xhaka for his impact this season.

But no reason Enzo can’t go on and surpass.

Just hope we can keep hold of him (and the others)

Sorry but SKP’d 30 PL goals in a season where the whole team scored 59 (he got more than the rest of the entire squad) is the greatest feat by a Sunderland player ever and also a feat that will probably never be matched in the PL again
What SKP did was amazing, he deserves to go down in history for that.

But, I think it’s difficult to compare the time Super Kev played to now, to say who was better. Few strikers score the numbers he got.

I am much happier to just compare the commitment and dedication of the Reid era players who bust a gut, and this era with a team who bust a gut.

And, forget the rotten, mercenaries in the middle who signed up for a last big pay cheque and didn’t give a shiny shit

Get into any SAFC team in the clubs history.
I think Enzo Le Fee could be the best. Our GOAT. Maybe there is only Raich Carter who could rival him.

Anybody disagree?

Very subjective mate to what era you come from. However I agree to an extent. There is a video knocking around of Enzo totally taking the piss out od Pedro....

I really cant remember when the last time I witnessed a Sunderland player do something like that.

Lets just enjoy what they all have to offer instead of trying to compare...!

Had this conversation the other day with my mate. But being an elite striker in the PL has evolved so much. The role has changed in that it's not just about scoring goals anymore.

Gone are the days when teams were 1 dimensional and just trying to feed a striker with chances.

Brobbey has scored nowhere near the goals SKP did, but it could be argued that his impact hasn't been far off.

Not that I'm taking anything away from SKP like...as he was an outstanding player for us. Probably not far behind Xhaka.

That can’t be argued, surely

I think Brobby has done great but Ha’way!
Claudio Reyna was quality act.
I’ve got his house

In my lifetime, first match in 1978/79, you're only really comparing with Reidy's teams.

Kev Phillips best player I've seen in an SAFC shirt. Mukiele best player we have at the moment, absolute class who could slot into a top four team now and look very comfortable. Mukiele and Xhaka would get into Reidy's teams.

Le Fee: see the Le Fee thread, an insightful poster being followed around by a freak show.

I think Phillips' contribution was outstanding and better than the season Brobbey has had.

But I do think that due to the way we play under RLB, Brobbey's contribution has also been huge and shouldn't be underestimated.

Would have put my house on SKP burrying the chances he had against Man Utd and Chelsea though...
