Ours was 1.17, higher than West Ham, Newcastle and Watford combined.
That's nice.

Those three will have played the first team.
I think some people can't accept that we are a league one team with league one players.

We held our own for a good spell against an in-form Arsenal side and played some lovely passing, attacking football at times. Clearly they were a class above us, but that is what happens when we are in a league one play off spot and they are in a Champions League spot and have not given up hope of the title. Imagine if we were in their position and had just played Wycombe. We would be giving them praise for having a decent go of it.
Nine of the in-form Arsenal side had their feet up for the evening.

We We alright last night and played good stuff. A daft 10 minute spell makes the scoreline look worse but people aren't half going overboard. It was 5-1 man  'but the xg'

I agree. The last 20 of the first half I thought we were great.

Second half... out classed in every way.

We’ve struggled defensively against crosses all season especially with strikers nipping across in front of our CBs and that’s at L1 level. It’s no surprise that a quality side really exploited that weakness. If anything it should show our players that the higher the level the less room for error there is as you’ll get punished.

At the risk of being branded a happy clapper, we should really focus of the positives of our forward play last night.

Whilst we were on the wrong end of a hiding we mustn't forget that for the past month or so we've played twice a week with an 18 man squad of which 11 are either U23 players or in their first full season of regular first team football. Also we had zero match fit fullback, were without our best centre half , our two first choice central midfielders from the first game of the season and mcgeady. We were always going to run out of steam. Let's also not forget that whilst it wasnt arsenals strongest 11 they had three players on the pitch who had cost a combined £160million in Whyte, Odegard and Pepe, not to mention others who probably cost a few quid. Our squad cost about £1m with only Stewart, Winnie and Cirkin commanding fees. We didnt disgrace ourselves and that's all we can ask for. Roll on Donny

We were humped by a team that were miles apart from us and it just shows how far we have fallen. However if we attack and press like that we should be able to swat aside most league 1 sides. Yes we’ll concede a few along the way but concentrate on our attacking play and stop shiteing ourselves when we go 1 up. Just keep going and outscore the opposition . We can work on the defence later

That's the thing about xg it's expected goals against teams in the context of who you are looking at. Those teams would never have to play themselves so their xg is going to be lower.

Corner kicks really demonstrated the quality difference like. Generally well placed and their entire team springing into action the second the ball was kicked. League one looks nothing like that at all.
