Wycombe threaten Derby with legal action...

No but if there is a case, and only the lawyers will know, it could be against both Derby and the EFL....It would appear that some decisions made by the EFL regarding how Derby were allowed to prolong the filings issues could be wrong or at the least manipulated to suit both parties to the detriment of a third. I think Wycombe are coming from this angle. I don't see it making any difference in the long term but it needs looking at.. Look at how the EFL trear ~Steve Gibson when he brought it to the attention of the EFL and he has been proved correct in the long run
the EFL are corrupt as fuck m8 so for that reason alone, I hope Wycombe do them

... over their relegation.

This'll be the same Wycombe who voted to end the league one season to benefit nobody but themselves.

I'm speechless.

The Wycombe board are complete arseholes. Shame like cos their fans seem canny and their manager is very respectful.

A real mixed bag of views which i understand .

From a Wycombe fans point of view , we didn't cheat to get into the championship and no rules were broken .

Derby have stayed in the league , partly by breaking the rules.

However ! !

Personally i don't think we should sue Derby. Whilst legally we probably have a point , i don't want to see clubs go down this route , especially mine . This does nothing for football or its reputation.

We should respectfully move on , and hopefully let the authorities learn from it and buck their ideas up next time .

Shane it's not Coventry
Yep, not in my list of favourite clubs

Guess you can only speak as you find. Every Derby fan I've met, or worked with, have been obnoxious fuckpigs.... and their specimens play in black and white

It’s about time though Wycombe stopped trying to exploit the system. It’s not about whether I like Derby or not

Good to see that from a fans perspective.

For a club owner, Couhig seems remarkably ignorant of insolvency procedures. The Derby that plays in League One next season with be a new, debt-free company which has bought the assets of the insolvent one. They will be obliged to pay pre-existing football creditors in full, and unsecured creditors 35% of the amount owed, less anything they've had from distributions by the administrator (that's also not a legal requirement; it's demanded by EFL rules. They will be under no obligation to meet any of the secured debt. And who's he going to sue? The EFL? Sueing the old Derby will do him no good; even if he got damages, they wouldn't be able to pay them.
Be interesting to see the number of small local businesses Derby owe money to, a la Leicester City (and other badly run clubs) which the great socialist and Leicester fan Gary Lineker said little about.

All clubs will have a whole bunch of local suppliers for everything from newspapers to stadium maintenance. At least the rules have been changed to guarantee them 35% of what they're owed, rather than nothing.

Two completely different issues. Derby cheated, Wycombe didn't.

The bitterness of that season is misdirected, they had the same points after less games... we were not good enough, we were in shit form, and we would not have won the play offs.
We probably wouldn’t is what you mean. The FL showed their usual cowardice and stupidity and are where the blame and bitterness should be directed which I suspect is what you meant. Wycombe owners and others merely revealed themselves to to be of unsporting natures.

After Boros 80s mess I cant understand any local business allowing debt from a football club to build up past the first invoice date. Small Claims Court etc. Try and drag as many of the clubs employees into it so it ends up not being worth the hassle of delaying payment any longer. Clubs take the piss, always have always will.
