WT20 England Ratings

scotch

Striker
Buttler - 2 - Kept tidily but batting fell off a cliff, could be the end for our greatest short form batted
Salt - 3 - One match winning knock but failed in the other 7 games, probably gets another few chances based on past form
Brook - 7 - Stunning 100, Captained fine, 2 losses out of 8, mistake to bat first in the semi and costly drop marked him down
Bethell - 8 - Stunning 100, looks like a generational talent which alongside Brook & our greatest ever in Root, is an exciting prospect for the next few years, didnt bowl as much due to a hand injury and a few too many failures with the bat then hed like
Banton - 5 - one match winning knock and always looked to go hard when he came in, could find himself opening again or out of the team in the next 6 games depending on circumstances
Curran -6 - useful knocks with the bat in building partnerships but no match defining score, strike rate probably needs to be higher, similar story with the ball barring a stellar last over against Nepal.
Jacks - 9 - x4 MOTM awards, high strike rate, vital contributions with the bat and had some good games with the ball but probably bowled 1 over too many in the semi final, looks to have found his role in this format for England
Rehan - 8 - A match turning knock with the bat and looks Rashids heir in the future, probably should have played the semi final
Overton - 7 - The Peter Crouch of the cricket team, world class against the smaller nations and not good enough with bat or ball against the test nations
Dawson - 7 - a good tournament with the ball and perhaps should have been given another go in the semi final despite the hammering in his only over, didnt contribute with the bat, could be the last he plays in this format for England
Archer - 7 - pace was good, fantastic option with the bat lower down but this is not the 2019 Archer anymore, older and less accurate and more easy to read for batsman since his action change, the bad days with the ball seem a little too frequent but took wickets regularly with the new ball
Wood - 4 - bowled a good first two overs then nearly blew the game with a shocking last over against nepal
Rashid - 8 - high quality, great tournament, can he continue another 4 years to allow Rehan to grow into the team without the pressure of being the lead spinner
