Is there a team in English football (I know they are Welsh) that has/had more links to us this season? Some games they have been setting up with our ex manager and 4 of our players.

Anyway I have to say fair play to them they are doing far better than I expected. I don’t rate Parky, they have started nearly every game with George Dobson in midfield and McClean was pretty much an ever present until Christmas. I also thought they vastly overspent with 15/16 million combined for Doyle and Broadhead and that their other journeymen signings like Moore wouldn’t pay off.

If they hold on tonight and Cov beat Southampton at home tomorrow as you would expect then they will have a 6 point gap to 7th with 8 games left and a great chance of making the playoffs. Also had a decent cup run.

Regardless of what you think of them you have to say they are doing very well. Reminiscent of us first season up under Mowbray where we finished top 6. Expected them to struggle and if anything for Birmingham to be the surprise package in the league.

Parky is a better manager than a lot of people on here think, he just happened to be our manager at the wrong time.

The whole reason they have the financial backing they have is because Rob McEhenney loved STID and got a bug to get into football. Our fault entirely innit

Obviously they were inspireed to own a British football club by our series but the extent to which they have gone to aquire ex players / manager of ours is slightly strange. Obsessed.

I absolutely cant stand Wrexham at the moment. Allowing the game to become a side show to become an interview with their owners instead was pathetic.

They're are using a football club to sell a story with their owners as key characters. If they go up via the play offs they would become a huge problem for us next season as their commercial deals would likely dwarf ours (i think they may already be bigger depsite being in championship) and would have a huge transfer pot.

Their success does make me wonder why we haven't pursued to the netflix stuff a bit more though.

I must have missed this gem:

Wrexham's Hollywood co-owners say their long-term ambition is to increase the club's stadium capacity to as much as 55,000.

Pie in the sky or what!? Population of Wrexham borough is 138,000. Sunderland is 288,000 and that doesn’t include other areas of the North East like Shields and Durham where we pull a lot of support from.

They'll be thinking they can get thousands of tourists in every other week, without realising once you arrive at the destination and you can only do so many seasons on Disnee, the appeal will wear off.

I really enjoyed the early seasons and genuinely wanted them to be promoted out of the National League, but it's all become a bit nauseating now.

I'd have thought they'll be thinking surrounding areas as well, chester ain't that far away, and being the only Taffs in the prem would have an attraction for new fans as well that would like to attend prem matches id imagine.

If they did get to the prem, could well be some decent sponsorship too with Reynolds being there
