Would you want Cattermole to be successful for England?

I dislike newcastle more than i love england.
I can only relate to the feelings when i watch each team play. I get a buzz when sunderland score or win, it gives me an instant kick and i'm happy. When newcastle lose i get a similar feeling but not as intense. When england play i have no feelings either way. I don't necessarily want them to lose but i get no buzz in either direction. Watching england play means nothing to me, i would go as far to say i get more of a buzz out of coventry losing.
So you dislike NUFC more than you love England but you'd prefer to watch NUFC
If i was given the choice of watching newcastle get beaten in a league game or watch england in a world cup quarter or semi final it'd be newcastle losing every time.
I'm confused

It's only that i get no real feelings when england score or win to compare.
Do you get no feelings if newcastle lose?? I watched a stadium of our fans celebrate their relegation like we had won a trophy. If you'd gone around the stadium that day and say england win or newcastle relegated what do you think the vote would be???

I am bothered about my own teams I.e Sunderland and England, can't see this hatred towards Newcastle I know I am in the minority.

Of course I prefer them to lose but certainly do not see the fact they got relegated anyway near comparing us to winning a trophy.

In answer to your last question if fans would prefer to see Newcastle relegated over England winning a World Cup can only repeat I find that very sad.

No, i'd rather watch newcastle get beaten, not watch them play if they won.
How can that be confusing? England winning gives me no feelings whatsoever, newcastle losing makes me happy.

So England beating the likes of Spain, Germany France etc in a Q/F, S/F would give you less pleasure than watching NUFC getting beat off eg Stoke.
You tell a lot of lies on here but that is a whopper mind

Hatred? I just like to see newcastle lose. England, i'm not bothered either way. One game stirs up emotions, the other doesn't. Isn't it obvious the one that generates the greatest feelings is the one i'd pick.

People in the ground that day were celebrating as much as some supporters do when they win a cup. You may find it sad, but if you asked the question that day Newcastle relegated or an England win i think you'd be saddened even more.

How the f**k do you think it's a lie? I couldn't give a f**k if england win or lose. Many times i don't even watch the england matches if something better is on the other side. When i do "watch" the tv is on in the other room and i hear the commentary and watch through the glass window if there's a goal.
Watching newcastle lose makes me happier than england winning, is that difficult to understand?

Ive had a think and i can't remember the last time i concentrated watched an england match from kick-off to final whistle. Possibly the gazza era or just after.

I love how the OP has 2 threads on the main page. One questioning the love in for Cattermole and the other asking if you'd want him to do well for England. What a nacker

Dear scruff
If you were able to read you would see Sima bumped a thread of mine from last season.

Dear scary nuns.

Still funny tho. In less than a year he's gone from shit to England, your opinion not mine.

You lot are really funny at times. On the back of a park the bus performance where you show little ambition to leave your box never mind your half you think he should be considered for England. Tiote has more chance of a call up from Woy.

1. Hasn't Tiote called himself up to play for Arsenal?
2. For a team that 'never got out of it's own box', we hit the bar, and missed the 3 best chances of the match

Canny feather in his cap and increases his value for the club. But on the downside, what's in it for us supporters?
  • Risk of injury
  • Bids we cant refuse from a big club
  • Cattermole cant handle the pressure and loses form (happens to a lot of players who get capped)
  • Pay rise demands

It's a no for me.
nope couln't give a frig.

too paraphrase the damned united

sunderland uber fuckin alles

Yep. Funny.
Behold! human beings living in an underground den, which has a mouth open towards the light and reaching all along the den; here they have been from their childhood, and have their legs and necks chained so that they cannot move, and can only see before them, being prevented by the chains from turning round their heads.

I don't like Shakespeare.

Let's be quite honest, 75% of international football is a complete waste of time, with teams that simply shouldn't be allowed to play on the same pitch as major nations. The risk to proper sportsmen from some of these foreign donkeys is a completely pointless exercise.
Even for keen international fans there's only a handful of teams worth watching but i just don't like it at all. I would rather watch a championship game, and they're bad enough.

I have next to no interest in international football. In my opinion it spoils the football season. The media and TV companies try to generate excitement and hype but many people i know just couldn't give a f**k about it.
Both of these statements are entirely your opinion. they may seem like a waste of time to you, but they certainly aren't to the people of these nations, who otherwise won't get to feel the pride of seeing their nation compete on the global stage. I am not a keen international sports fan, but I appreciate the importance these games have to the vast majority of people around the world. You are very much in the minority in thinking that international football is worthless.

In the world cup I very much enjoyed watching some of the smaller nations play against some of the bigger ones, it made for some interesting games with more than a few upsets. What right do we have to say which games are important and which aren't? You could apply the same logic to the premier league, and say there are only a handful of teams worth watching, and so we shouldn't let the rest of the teams compete. It makes no sense.

Also, as a side note, your use of the term 'foreign donkeys' makes you sound like a total arse

1st August 2014 is 'last season' now, is it?
Sure he led us away from relegation, played a heroes part and began to show the form everyone knew he had but rarely maintained.
But the current fashion of PF posters for cat worship is no more than an embarrassing adolescent crush. You know you will all regret it and even deny it before ten matches are played this season.
He has proven too often how easily he can let us down in those bread and butter matches. I would compare him to a reformed alcoholic. I would trust him no more than one day at a time. When he screws up we will need Bridcutt and be sure, if Catts screws up more than once Gus will not tolerate it, he will be off to Hull in January.

Parking the bus is just a tactic used sometimes....just like the tactic of scoring for fun when we play the mags...
