Exactly. Who we missing, Hoffman, who's decent but not brilliant, Wright, a solid league 1 CH and an improving league 1 wide player, hardly irreplaceable. We've got the best squad in the league and it should have been them that wanted to cancel the game not us.

Saying we should have cancelled this game is just an excuse for the manager and team for our form dropping off a cliff in certain games this season imo.

What would a team like Accrington do to have players like Stewart, Neil, Pritchard and even the much maligned O'Brien coming off the bench. This team should still be able to win games in league 1.

you don't have to prove the positive tests or name the players to the league as its there human right not to be named so it's ripe for manipulation as them up the road have done and as Klopp has hinted at in interviews , Wigan could get 4 or 5 players in the Jan window and rotate the bigger squad for the rest of the season .
 
Yes if no players back. I posted we should have cancelled before Wycombe if 3rd choice keeper was going to be more than sub. Then we lost Evan's. Error to me.

Or cancel ,get 3 quality signings in and full strength squad back
,"just playing them" has already cost us points ,Hoffman would have saved some of them goals and the outcome would have been different in both games ,not having a go at the young kid but he's just inexperienced ,doesn't know how to command his box and come out or not for crosses.It will come in time but now is not the time to blood him in a race for an automatic place.
Wigan know the craic ,watch them get a few players in to strengthen the squad for the upcoming extra games where as we are so green as grass ,done the same a few seasons ago when covid first came out played with a weakened squad and we got beat when every other team cancelled there games.
 
Seems completely obvious to me we should have called off the last two games, and the one on Saturday
We could not get out of this division with a full team,how on earth are we going to get out of it playing a weakened team.?
Our pitch is terrible, it is a disgrace for a club our size having a pitch like that

3 quality signings is easier said than done tbh and waiting for a full strengh squad to get back?? We'll have to wait till end of season I suspect!!
 
Yes. We're not pressuring anyone by dropping points for the sake of fulfilling fixtures.

We've now lost Winchester to suspension and Gooch looked injured. Pritchard took a knock as well.
 
Wright will be back, so will Dajaku and Hoff that means we're only really missing Evans with confusion and Winch for being sent off. I'm not sure how you can get a game called off for that.

We lost to Lincoln last night because we were shit on the night, nowt to do with COVID. We should be able to beat Accrington on Saturday with a team we put out, but we've got to perform to win, not just turn up.

It's about time the governing bodies stopped this shit and told teams to get on with it. Pathetic behaviour tbh.
 
I would call Saturday off and look to get players back for Portsmouth.

Even if Evans is back on Saturday Winchester will be suspended and it looks like Gooch pulled his hamstring so we have even less players to chose from

And we should have beaten Wycombe- would have 19 times out of 20 with that performance.
Last night was horrendous and a wake up call that we need to be quicker.
