Not a chance. Ask yourself;

How many players would we have to sign when we get promoted?

We would need serious upgrades all over the squad just to compete to stay in the Premier League. Same as most Championship clubs. As it stands, we'd be lucky to get a result against any team in the Premier, maybe apart from Southampton.

Same here, work with loads of them and none of them give it the big uns, they’re just genuinely buzzing they’re doing well. Face to face there’s no nose rubbing or goading, more of a quiet smugness if anything.

I find all the bitterness and delusion on forums and social media, it’s like a different side to people on these places.

I don’t think so. They are physical at the back and would over power us. But they don’t half miss some chances in front of goal. They will need to spend a fortune if they are going to win anything.

This also applies to us unfortunately.
 
Currently NUFC are probably 10 seasons ahead of SAFC.
The gap will only get bigger over the coming years, especially when they start spending big, I can probably see them winning the champions league within the next 5 seasons

No matter how far ahead they are, they are still keen to sing about us - no sooner had they secured the CL last night, chants of have you ever seen a mackem in Milan started up.

it's kinda sweet that despite their millions, they still look across at us for some kind of rivalry reassurance that they are better.

Honestly Mags, we cannot compete with your hundreds of millions of pounds being thrown at success, we're not in the same football circles as you, and therefore you have become significantly less relevant to us. How can a rivalry exist with such an imbalance of resources? It can't, so go and enjoy your success and don't waste your time on us. We're on a good path and have had a great season, and we're mostly pretty happy with our football situation. ⚽️

By the very same token most people i know in real life dont bend over backwards to suck them off and defend the good name of NUFC and their supporters, unlike many argumentative oddballs and virtue signallers on here.

Man City are light years ahead of the mags. I doubt a single mag player would get in their team. They have been trying to win the Champions League for a dozen years and thus far have reached 1 final which they lost.

How do you reckon the mags will rock up and win it in the next 5 years? It could happen of course but as opinions go that's a pretty stupid one.

Following the appointment of Howe I did state that they would finish in a European spot this season, but that was just my opinion, didn’t think a champions league spot, but it could of been a stupid one!
