Would this team beat the Mags?

I still don't think people have clicked on to what is happening here. The mags are qualifying for the champions league, they will be adding 3 or 4 champions league standard players to their squad in the summer. The two sides will be planets apart.

The op didn't say next seasons team though, just asked if we could beat them
 
We have totally took the shine off there season which has now got them looking over there shoulder again, sure we are 11 games unbeaten against them
and if we do go up we will be a totally unknown force in the league, and for sure they will not have as good a season the pressure is all on Eddie and if they start slow next season he be under a lot of pressure
And its all on them to stop the derby rot as we have tortured them for fun

I see what you are saying about a one off game anything can happen - that Sheff Wed game isn't a great example though, the mags virtually played a reserve side, Howe made 9 changes. That definitely doesn't happen in a derby.

Not one of us is thinking, 'for fuck sake Sunderland finishing 6th in the league below us has ruined this season'.
 
Mags will be mid table next year. Pressure on them would be huge and a free pass for us. Guess they’ve got to beat us sometime like, but no win in eleven woukd be very funny indeed.
