What's the worst injuries you've seen or has happened to you, on the cricket field?

Seen a couple of dislocated shoulders that weren't nice. Also saw a bloke I play with get knocked out cold by Whitmore Quinn.

Seen Ross Carty break his leg at Whitburn, that was nasty.

Personally, a ball pulled to leg ran in for the catch ball connected with tip of my finger and the bone popped out to check out the sunshine. Surgery and much pain.

Top edged a left handef bowler into my face (no helmet and had a compression fracture of the check. Joined a new RN Base the following day with the biggest keecker I've ever had. Nice purple, yellow, balck and blue mess.

Something to do with the sightscreen wasn't it?

Lad who plays for our 1st team hit a ball straight at the umpire hit him in the shin and that snapped in half. Guy didnt properly recover and has a really bad limp on him now. As for what i have seen, other than bad bruising and swelling of eyes, hands and legs, I pulled a short ball towards square leg, had been raining and umpire tried to get out the way resulting in him slipping and his knee and ankle twisting, he screamed as he did it. Felt quite guilty and was out a few balls later

top edged one into my eyebrow. If I hadn't turned my head looking to where I wanted it to I'd have probably lost an eye.

me da was umpiring at boldon last year and got hit in the side of the head. Had a blood clot removed shortly after.

How on earth did that happen?!!

Saw a lad chasing the ball to the boundary at Langley Park, forget about the concrete wall they have very close to the boundary, in a bizzare attempt to stop himself he ended up on his knees, going face first into it. Nose all over his face. Grim.

If it's the story I heard, Ross was moving the sight screen and got his foot/leg trapped somehow and got ran over (of sorts).
