Worse than Mankad

Batsmen backing up out of their crease are seeking an advantage.
Today was the worst example of a scumbag team I, or anybody else I dare say, has ever seen.

I’d tend to agree, atleast with a mankad a batsman is gaining an advantage by leaving his ground - Bairstow wasn’t attempting a run today, there was no intent whatsoever to gain an advantage.

Bairstow tried the same thing

He didn’t, that is absolutely NOT the same thing.

Labuschagne was batting out of his crease to start with, where’s Bairstow watched the ball to the keeper, marked his guard in a clear show to everyone that he wasn’t intending on making a run.

There's a very large difference between a keeper throwing the ball at the stumps to deter someone playing out of their crease mid-over and a keeper throwing the ball at the stumps at the end of an over when it was clear as day Bairstow thought the over had concluded.

Even then, Cummins has the chance to do the honourable thing and doesn't.

To be fair to Bairstow I saw him duck under the ball wait a couple of seconds, scrub the crease with his boot & I thought that the over was done especially as the umpire had started to remove the cap & had started to wander. I would have probably left my mark to talk to a team mate! I am sure all batsmen have done it. Shit by Carey & Australia!!

The same thing 😂😂😂

You may as well find a clip of Bairstow stumping someone and claim it's the same.

I'm already bored of the chat RE the whole thing. So I'm just stirring the pot.

Bairstow is an idiot. Carey was smart.

Cummins could have withdrawn the appeal after it was disputed by England but he was well within his rights not too.

England pissing away their advantage and being 2 nil down should be the story not this sideshow red herring.

I reckon if they'd withdrawn that appeal we lose by lunch. They just got Ben angry and he changed his tactics and scared the shit out of them and prolonged the game longer than we expected.

Carey threw it before he left the crease. He was basically counting on JB doing a repeat of the same stupid behaviour he'd been doing all over. And JB obliged.
Get away and fuck man. If England had down that you'd be calling them worse than shite you condescending so and so
Genuinley wouldn't give a shit mate. Any batsman in an Ashes Test who a) disent know where the ball is and b) leaves his crease without tapping his bat behaving like a rank amateur

You'll be expecting them to shout 'In' next man like bairns do when they first start playing

Aye why expect people to play by the laws of the game at the highest professional level of the sport, or even just pay attention to the surroundings and not be a dopey twat, how unreasonable and contrarian of me

Bairstow doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, he saw the umpire start to remove a cap from his head and move, which to me would signal end of over! Square leg umpire had started to move aswell!

the argument was over when it turned out mcCullum has done the exact same thing

Awful awful decision by Cummins to not overrule the appeal. Anyone who knows Australian cricket culture would know this is nothing unusual for them. It’s win at all costs no matter the fallout.
Absolutely embarrassing interview by Cummins on the pitch at the end. Well done Ben Stokes for keeping a modicum of respect.

He’s not an idiot. The over was finished. He wasn’t trying to take a single then realized he had to scramble back to his crease. It’s in their DNA to pull this shit time after time.
